  1. Windows 10 update 2021 wiping everything

My computer recently updated over night. in the morning when i looked at the computer it wasn't booting. it came to the boot menu with four options in the following order:

    "Windows 10"

    "Windows Setup"

    "Windows 10"

    "Windows Recovery"

When i clicked on any of the options it would not boot to the windows. I tried to uninstall the update but that option was not available in the troubleshooting menu. The only thing that worked was when I went to "Windows Recovery" it let me do a clean install of the windows. All the data of drive "C:" had been wiped. Luckily my main data was on another partition which was intact, and i managed to backup that data. I reinstalled the windows and set everything up again. and surprise surprise, a few days later it automatically updated again and i experienced the same problem. I again reinstalled the windows and tried to turn off automatic update. i have the home edition of windows 10 and was unable to turn it off. Now it has automatically updated the windows again. and it has wiped all of my C drive again. I am clueless to why Microsoft is still deploying the exact same update with the known problems. If I didn't have a partition on my hard disk, all of my data would have been lost.

    How can this be fixed?

    :)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
