    Multiple ethernet network connections

I carry my laptop between work and home frequently. At work, I have an assigned IP address. And at home, I am using DHCP. Right now, if I switch to DHCP, then I have to reenter my assigned IP address when I take the laptop to work. Is there someway to set up two "identities" or profiles or some other way to avoid having to manually turn off DHCP and enter the assigned IP address at work and then switch back to DHCP at home?

    :)

  2. Unable to connect network printer

I've recently moved to new internet provider (centurylink) using modem/router (Zyxel c3000z). I have tried and true Dell 1700n network printer that was previously ethernet connected to router and it worked great! Now it will not install. I have tried multiple
ethernet ports on the zyxel and have tried multiple ethernet cables. The port light on the modem is illuminated, but when logged into admin of zyxel, the printer is not listed in the device list. CenturyLink tech support cannot see the printer/does NOT show
the device connected and doesn't have any suggestions. Any idea of incompatibilities?

    Multiple network/dsl connections??

You could connect to multiple networks and use each network for a seperate task, though there would be a fair bit of setup involved.... but it would pay off (my prototypign box is setup on 3 networks *Smile Multiple ethernet network connections :)

My reliable ethernet connection no longer works

    Hi Marcia,

To better understand the query, please answer the following questions:

    • After restarting is your computer in normal mode or not?
    • Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to reset the modem\ router and check if the Ethernet connection works or not.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
