Windows 10: Audio Refuses to Come Through Headphone when playing games; but otherwise works normally.

Hey all,

Weird situation.. I've recently built my new rig (specs below), and I'm having this really weird issue:

I have Turtle Beach Stealth 700 BT headphones that will connect and play music, youtube, etc just fine -- but when I go to play BattleField4, or any other game, it REALLY wants to force the audio output through a difference "audio device," which analogously sounds like someone is playing the audio through a phone call.

I've tried disabling any, and all audio devices except the one that plays my normal audio the way I want it. However, the computer still doesn't like that and essentially mutes the audio because it can't output through the disabled speaker it loves so much.

BUT, the craziest thing of them all: my old computer was running an Intel CPU, with a Gigabyte motherboard, and the audio would work as anyone would expect, along with the full sound quality of my headphones.

Really any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

JBL T450BT Bluetooth Headphones Not Working Windows 10 Home Version 1803

All the mentioned method in the above link has been tried but non of them are working.

I will just summaries the problem of window 10 with JBL T450BT Bluetooth headphone

1. Just after pairing the headphone, if any audio is being played in the system, audio will smoothly transfer to headphone and is working normally.
2. Upon pausing/stooping the audio, headphone is showing connected status but on resuming/starting any audio, no audio is coming in the headphone and from system speaker also.
3. On running window troubleshoot for Bluetooth, two results are coming
   • If any audio is paying in the system- it is showing problem fixed and the running audio starts working in the headphone normally
     • again on pausing/stopping the audio, the same problem starts and no audio is coming from headphone on resuming or starting the audio (not even from system speaker also)
   • If no audio is being played in the system or it is in the pause status - It is showing problem fixed but actually on starting or resuming audio, the same problem persist (no audio is coming in the headphone and from system speaker also).
   Window troubleshoot has been tried multiple time but every time result is same (above).
   

For information: the same headphone is working absolutely fine in my Android phone.

Early help for above problem would be highly appreciated.

Move audio to one side for speakers but not headphones

• Is your headphones getting detected in the Playback settings?
  
• Are you trying to play the audio on both Speakers and Headphones at the same time?
  

Ideally, if you have configured Sound settings to play on your left speakers, the same goes with the headphones. The sound starts playing only on the left side of your headphones according to the settings changed.

Meanwhile, we can try configuring the headphones and change the balance level in the sound settings and see if it works. Kindly check with the steps listed below and see if it helps.

Method : Run audio test for your headphones.

• Open Control Panel from the Start menu and click on
  Sound.
  
• In the Sound window, click on your
  Headphones and select Configure option at the bottom left.
  
• By running the test, check if both sides of your headphones are working fine.
  

If that doesn’t help, I would suggest you to check with the audio balance by following the steps listed below:

• Open Sound settings from
  Control Panel, and right click on the Headphones to open its
  Properties.
  
• Click on Levels tab and select
  Balance button. In the Balance window, you can use the slider to balance both left and right headphones equally.

Headphones plugged in, but game audio coming through speakers.

I plug in headphones and I can listen to music or youtube through the headphones, but when I try and play a game, the audio plays through my laptop speakers.

Is there any way to fix this and have everything playing in my headphones?
