Windows 10: Purchased Minecraft on another device but unable to download it on another device.

Hi everyone, I purchased Minecraft Window 10 on my brothers PC using my Microsoft account and I would like to download Minecraft on my laptop but when I go to download I have to buy it again. Is there anyway where I can download it on my laptop or will I have to buy it again? TIA.

Unable to add a device to Microsoft account

Ideally, when we sign in to a device using the Microsoft account, the device is already added to the Microsoft account. However, as you have mentioned you are unable to add the device to the Microsoft account after removing it. We would suggest you
to try converting the account as a local account and then converting it as a Microsoft account. This should add the device to the Microsoft account. Kindly refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Accounts and select
   Your info on the left pane.
   
3. Now, click on Sign in with a local account instead and follow the on-screen instructions.
   
4. Once the account is converted as a local account, sign in to the account, go to settings and click on
   Sign in with a Microsoft account.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to convert the account. Once the account is converted as a Microsoft account, the device will be listed in your Microsoft account.
   

Meanwhile, we would like to know the following details to assist you with the Minecraft issue:

• How are you trying to install Minecraft?
  
• Which edition of Minecraft are you trying to install?

Unable to install purchased Minecraft game. Can't find device.

I purchased the PC version of the Minecraft game for my son.

I created a family account on my PC and was able to locate my PC under My Devices, however, Minecraft install is not finding my device. The message when I select 'Install on my Device' is: "It looks like you don’t have
any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account."

I've reset the Microsoft Store cache, restarted the PC, and now I'm stuck. Please advise.

Unable to install purchased Minecraft game. Can't find device.

I have successfully updated the PC to the latest version, but that hasn't helped. Still not recognizing the device when I attempt to install Minecraft. Any other suggestions?
