Windows 10: How to force Windows to do a Normal Start from boot

Hi.


I ticked "Diagnostic startup" from msconfig to start in safe mode and check something on my Dell Inspiration 7506. But now, I can't log back in to Windows because neither the PIN or the fingerprint reader works.


I figure it's because the fingerprint reader doesn't load in safe mode. As for PIN, don't know why it doesn't work, but it doesn't. How can I force Windows to start back normally NOT in safe mode so that PIN and fingerprint reader load and work as intended? Or any other way to get back into Windows, using my MS password, for example? I tried F8 at boot to choose different boot configurations, but "normal" is not one of them. I tried safe mode with or without networking, debug mode, different repair options from the BIOS... I don't have a restore point, unfortunately. Any ideas for me? Last resort, I will boot from a USB stick, back up my files and reset the system. Hope it doesn't come to that...

laptop doesnt boot automatically

This is what happened.

1. Did a repair install and later disabled hibertnate in CMD.
2. Enabled legacy option ROM in BIOS.
3. After a few times startup ( i used the system in such mode for 5 days), changed boot option back to default.
4. Vola!! It boots automatically to win10 without any keypress. Tested it with many starts to confirm the same.
5. Re-enabled hibernate option using CMD and later selected Fast Startup.
6. System booted normally, without the need for any keypress.

I do not know exactly whether such steps resolved the problem or what else happened, hence cannot suggest above steps.

Cannot Enter Safe Mode / Computer boots normally

I'm running Win 10 Pro 1903.

Here are the steps I have taken to get into safe mode: Start button, settings, update and security, recovery, advanced startup, troubleshoot, advanced options, startup settings, restart. The computer boots normally, not in safe mode. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks in advance for your help and interest. .

 

Windows boots to the desktop then freezes

Yeah...I went to google and got the F8...lol*Stick Out Tongue ....thxxx

It boots up in safe mode and seems to work fine. Now I just need to figure out what's causing windows to freeze up befor it fully loads in normal start up operation.

Any suggestions where I might start ?
