[SOLVED] Sharing Microsoft Store apps with family, asks for PIN, but it's always wrong

Similar to this question, I wanted to share a purchased app with another account on the same PC, but it wouldn't work. During the microsoft store login, it would ask for a Windows hello PIN and always say it was wrong even if I just changed it, and even when the pin was working to log into the PC.

I tried a bunch of things, but what worked was removing the PIN from my account and from the account I was trying to share the app with, and I did not see that solution anywhere else, so I'm sharing it here.

In some thread from years ago, somebody mentioned there was a bug in windows/microsoft store where it would ask for the PIN from the account being shared with, rather than the one actively logging in. That may have been the case for me, but I can't confirm. At least it gave me a clue about what to try.

    :)
