    Connected to Personal hotspot but "No Internet, secured"


    Hi,


    I am running Windows 10 on my laptop and I am trying to connect to a Personal Hotspot on my iPhone. The laptop connects fine to the iPhone Hotspot but with "No Internet, secured" status. I have followed the instructions in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250769667 and https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250721256 with not much luck.


    Any insights will be greatly helpful.

    Personal Hotspot on iPhone not detected on Thinkpad T480s

    I used to be able to connect my iPhone 6s (iOS 13) to my Thinkpad T480s (Win 10 Pro, 1903, latest updates) via USB-C and use the personal hotspot on the iPhone to connect to the internet. This worked without any issues for several years through several upgrades of iOS and Windows.
    Now I switched to an iPhone 11 Pro (iOS 13) and the T480s does not detect the iPhone's personal hotspot any more. Personal hotspot is turned on on the iPhone 11 Pro. The T480s sees the iPhone and I can browse its content.
    The personal hotspot on the iPhone 6s (also iOS 13) is also not detected any more since I updated the following Apple software on the T480s to the current versions:
    • AppleApplicationSupport64
    • AppleMobileDeviceSupport64
    • AppleSoftwareUpdate
    Am I missing something here?

    Hi Hamada,

    Please answer these question to assist you better.

    What is the model number of your computer?

    I suggest you to refer the link below suggested by Tushar Tiwari on February 9, 2015
    and follow the troubleshooting steps suggested.

    Also refer the link below to troubleshoot issue with iPhone hotspot.

    Hotspot internet using Bluetooth

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, we would need some information.



    1. Are you trying to create a hotspot through Bluetooth on your PC?
    2. What is the version and
      build
      of you operating system? In the Search box, type
      winver       to get this info.
    3. What is the Make and the model of the Phone and Computer?


    If you want to create a Hotspot on your PC, suggest you to refer this article
    Use your PC as a mobile hotspot.



    As you have mentioned that you want to use Bluetooth to connect to internet, you will need to enable the Bluetooth Tethering option on your phone and then connect the phone through Bluetooth with the PC.



    If you are using an iPhone, please refer the section Connect to Personal Hotspot with Bluetooth
    from the article
    If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular)    .



    If you are using an Android phone please refer the steps in the article
    Share a mobile connection by tethering or hotspot on Android    .
