  1. Windows 10 not starting up correctly

Yesterday, while browsing the internet, windows told me that there were problems with my drive and i restarted to fix them but after "fixing c:", the computer restated and said "Fixing C:". After finishing it restarted and automatic repair kicked in but it "could't fix the problem". This happened every time i tried to start my computer and after a 2 cycles i gave up and installed windows again but this time on an empty partition i had lying around. I tried chkdsk which "Couldn't write the log file with code 6", sfc /scannow it said that nothing was wrong and DISM wich succeeded but none of them have done anything. I have also tried to delete the latest quality update it uninstalled succesfuly but didn't do **** and the latest feature update i instantly got an error saying tht it couldn't uninstall, but that might be because the only more "major" update i got since installation was a quality one. The partition the one with the broken windows installation is accessible from the second installation of windows and can be written to/read from. I am posting this here since i was wondering if anyone else knows any ways to get the original windows back up and running. Thank you in advance.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

Windows 10 not starting up correctly

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows 10 not starting up correctly :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
