Windows 10: InfoScan3 Lite not registering on Windows 10

Discus and support InfoScan3 Lite not registering on Windows 10 in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; Bought an InfoScan3 Lite from a person on a buy and sell site.     InfoScan3 Lite not registering on Windows 10


    Bought an InfoScan3 Lite from a person on a buy and sell site.


    The scanner itself works perfect, despite being an older model.

    It is not recognized however when I connect it via USB to my computer with Windows 10.


    I have updated my drivers and looked through all the troubleshooting from the owner manual.

    Wizcom Desktop works well too.


    When i try the "Connect to PC" option on the scanner pen, it says "Error connecting to PC" with only 'OK' and 'TIPS' 1. confirm pen and pc are connected with usb cable, 2. confirm desktop application is running, 3. make sure you have installed desktop and usb driver.


    Any suggestions?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
