Windows 10: BSOD when launching games

Team,


Need some help with my pc. Since I installed the XBOX app on my windows 10 enterprise PC I have had certain issues with certain games. I can't play as the game will produce a BSOD. There is not enough time to check on the error message but today it has happened multiple times and while I tried to stream as well.


I tried opening Rainbow Six Siege, I tried opening Apex Legends and the problem persist. I literally can't open any games. I have checked the event viewer and there are two constants:


gaming services terminated unexpectedly and also elevation services.


And now that I think about it it started after I installed the XBOX app on my pc. I purchased the gamepass and now every single game I try to open will BSOD my pc.

BSOD When playing games

Please share the information requested below:

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

Games won't launch and run in background.

Please do let us know with the following information for better assistance:

• What exactly do you mean by games does not run in the background?
• Which are the games you are trying to launch?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error notification while trying to launch the game?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

I would like to inform that the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable x86,
usually occupy 1 GB of the storage space.

I suggest you to run disk cleanup to free the memory: Free up drive space in Windows 10
and check.
