I am a Action Pack Subscriber and a Microsoft Partner - My product key for Enterprise does not work, and there is NO support I can find to get it functioning

I can't find any sort of support other than the articles in my partner network, but nothing relating to product keys not working. I installed Win 10 Enterprise edition and am using the key they provide but it says

"The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one. 0xc004f050"

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    :)

  2. Microsoft Action Pack License Transfer

Straight from a Microsoft link I found about the program it says:

What happens after I have activated the product key?

The on-premises product keys provided with the Action Pack subscriptions allow a limited number of activation. Licenses are considered used when a product key is activated in one of the following ways:

If the software is installed on a different machine, one product activation is considered used against the product key.

If the software is installed on the same machine, with no changes made to the hardware, product activation is not considered used against the product key.

If the software is installed on the same machine, with changes made to the hardware, product activation is considered used against the product key.

Once activation of the product key has been fully accounted for, partners are not be able to use it again and won’t be able to request additional keys.

    Partner upgrade to Windows Enterprise?

I am a Microsoft Partner. I enjoy software thru the Action Pack subscription.

My downloads on my portal now show 'Windows 10 Enterprise'.

I am not going to refer to the additional N, KN, KN LTSB or N LTSB links. I am also referring to 'Windows 8.1 Pro', also still listed in my downloads, and not Windows 8 Professional, Professional N, Pro N, or any Embedded versions listed.

My existing Windows installations (clients) are all 8.1 Professional. How will this upgrade path work? I can find no discussion of going from Pro 8.1 to 10 Enterprise. Also no 10 Professional is provided to the partner on the portal. I would like to try
Enterprise on at least one of my systems with an upgrade so as not to lose applications.

I test systems for upgrading in businesses, application compatibility and other development. All usually run Hyper-V for specific development environments and some could be forced to remain at 8.1 Pro. I am looking at the host client systems.

Q: Can I upgrade my existing Pro 8.1 systems with the downloaded ISO?

Q: Will the upgrade - if it is intended to work - query for the new key?

Q: What differences will there be (both domain connected and workgroup connected installs) in the system logon. I specifically log on to a username with domain and an MSN account on non domain systems using workgroup setting with same name as domain.

Thanks in advance. Looking for anyone who has tried this. I have 3 laptops that run VS 2015, 2013 etc. and use Hyper-V and do NOT want to hose them by using them as 'test' systems.

    I have already upgraded:

Windows 7 Pro on an Atom.

    Windows Pro 8.1 Virtual machine.

Varied results, but ready to move ahead with the most important systems or ditch the idea for now. One of the systems is already collecting system files for upgrade in the back ground and the other two are off network for the last couple weeks.

    Regards,

    Michael

    Microsoft Tech Net Subscribers Club

Some sad news for future Technet subscribers!

Paul Lilly over at Maximum PC reported today that Microsoft has cut the subscription keys for all the products from 10 down to 5! This is for the Technet Pro subscriptions, however the Technet standard dropped the keys down to two*Bang Head :banghead:
