Windows 10: Windows 10 Photo App Video Editor - Change clip preview or delete part of the video

Hi All,


Within the app, how do you change the thumbnail of video on the Storyboard, or delete part of a clip to change the thumbnail?


Context:


When you split a video clip, the new clips do not delete any of the video; it's not actually split, it just creates a copy of the video clip and trims each section to the area you selected.


This causes one of the first frame of the video to be the thumbnail in the Storyboard, even if you edited that part out using split. You end up with clip after clip using the same thumbnail image, making it impossible to know what each clip is what without clicking on it to watch it, making rearranging the clips excessively troublesome.


How do you to actually delete part of a video clip within the editor, or change the thumbnail of the clips within the storyboard to avoid this?

Frozen frame between clips in Photo's video editor

I am trying to combine two clips together using the video editor in the Photos app and the clips are part of an ongoing scene that I want to combine together seamlessly. But after I exported the video there was a frozen frame for about a second where the
two clips meet and since the scene is ongoing, it's very noticeable. It did not do this in the preview window when I was editing the video. How exactly can I prevent this "hiccup" when editing?

 

Music clips - Microsoft Photos / Video Editor App

Are the music clips on Microsoft photos / Video Editor app (that can be used as background) copywrite free? i.e. can I publish my video using the clips available as standard?

 

Windows Video Editor: Choppy Playback

Hello, my question is about the new Video Editor function from the Photos App. When I open video clips in the Photo App, they run smooth. However, when I move them to the Video Editor(for video editing), the playback is super choppy. How can I fix this
issue?

My laptop specs:
