Windows 10: Windows Task View not showing live preview

Hi I frequently use task view to watch multiple videos etc at once, by pressing Windows key + tab or swiping 3 fingers up on a laptop. This has usually always showed a live thumbnail of all my open screens at once.


However, it has recently switched to only showing an outdated still picture instead. I have searched everywhere and can't find a way to fix this. Thanks in advance!

Task View

It's the Task View, not the Task Bar, that is the problem. I should be getting the popup (right clicking on Task View) showing the options for additional Desktops, not the five options for the Task Bar. A 'chat' with MS Solutions said that I should reinstall
Windows 10 to MAYBE correct this problem. Any suggestions to correct?? Thanks for your interest...I really appreciate it.
The Task View is the only feature that I may like on 10!!

 

preview/details pane in explorer

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

If the preview pane doesn’t appear, I suggest you to follow the steps and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

  Open the folder where the images are located.

  Click on View option at the top and choose
  Preview pane.

  Now you will be able to see the images on the Preview pane.
