    Recently I have encountered an issue with my laptop MSI GF75. In the past when I pressed the shortcut keys to enable or disable a hardware like webcam or touchpad an icon which represented an image of that hardware used to appear in the middle of the screen altering me of that change. Now that icon is not showing up anymore. I tried reinstalling and update the drivers but nothing is changed. I would like to have those icons back since it's annoying not seeing when I am disabling a hardware.

    Shortcut to Enable/Disable touch screen drivers in Device Manager?

    Hi,

    I realized your concern and will assist you to resolve the issue.

    You will be able to create shortcut to device manger but you will not be able to create shortcut to enable/disable a device in device manager.

    To create a shortcut to device manager follow the steps below.

    • long press the screen where you want to create shortcut.
    • Click on new and then select shortcut.
    • In the blank space type in devmgmt.msc.
    • Click next and follow the wizard.

    Tray icon disappears

    I've been experiencing since the installation of Windows XP SP2 on multiple machines with the ATITool Tray Icon disappearing upon load at system startup. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Enabling or Disabling the "Hide Inactive (tray) Icons" WinXP menu option doesn't have any effect. The only way to open ATITool after it has loaded is to go through the start menu to open it again. I have "minimize on close" selected in ATITool. When closing ATITool, you see it make the motions of minimizing to the tray area but no icon is displayed. Any ideas?

    Desktop shortcuts disappearing

    One of the computers i maintain has a few of the desktop shortcuts disappearing now and then. It runs windows 7, and has a shitload of shortcuts on the desktop.

    Any idea what might cause this?
