Why has Microsoft changed the way updates are done? I no longer get notifcations I have an...

Why has Microsoft changed the way updates are done? I no longer get notifications that I have an update pending. Instead, my entire computer freezes and I can't access anything. Sometimes, I get a gray or black screen. Only after I switch my computer on and off numerous times am I eventually able to access the system to find out microsoft was doing an update or trying to do one. This latest incident was at 5:01 in the afternoon on April 15th. Really? When people are trying to get their taxes done? Who thought that would be a great date to freeze computers and do an update at 5:01 in the afternoon? I was trying to get some important work done, facing a deadline, and suddenly I couldn't do anything. My mouse wouldn't even work.

I want Microsoft to reinstate notifications regarding when they plan to do an update instead of just automatically doing it and freezing computers. Microsoft updates are like a computer virus. It takes over your computer and you can't do anything. Also, it used to be when they did an update I could still access information. Not now. You can plan on being down without warning. You don't know if it's a virus or Microsoft updating Windows 10.

    :)

  3. Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.
