1. HDD Problems causing BSOD

Hello

My Sony VAIO stopped working a few years ago. Windows 10 was running slowly. A day the PC wasn't booting anymore and it was giving UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME. After that i tried to run "System Diagnosis" but it wasn't starting it showed only win10 logo and then a black screen. [when my PC was alive and slow i tried to run chkdsk but it gave me an error]. I tried to run win10 on a USB. Setup started 2 times and at the end of the setup it gave me an error. Today i ran WinXP setup on a CD. Everything was working ok but at the end of the first part like win98 setup it gave me a BSOD while "Setup is starting Windows" Error Code 0x0000007b = INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. I hope the HDD isn't corrupted or broken. How can i solve this problem? Is there a way to boot from USB/CD a chkdsk? Thanks in advice

:)

unlock hdd

Hi Johan,

It is possible that your
HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

• Shutdown
your
PC.

• Unhooked
the
HDD
and
turn on
your
PC.

• Reconnect
your
HDD
and
restart
your
PC.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
laptop/computer's manufacturer
for further assistance.

Update us on how it goes.

Regards.

Weird BSOD problem

Hi Everyone,

I have a weird BSOD problem which I cannot solve for a while(it persists still after upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7)

The main strange thing about this is that I get BSOD only after cold boot.
So it acts like this:

1. start PC.
2. Get to Windows Logo Screen
3. BSOD
4. Restart
5. Get to menu where I can try to repair or Start NormallyIf I Choose Repair, it will fail to repair and will try to restoreIf I Choose Start Normally, it will start OK, no BSOD, can work normally, games, browse internet, everything is normal.6. Shutdown PC
7. Next time when I start is all over again i.e. Go to Step 1

I have this problem for a while, so what I tried:
1. Another Windows 7
2. Another HDD
3. Only HDD connected
4. Changed RAM
5. Tried with built in GPU
6. Upgraded to Windows 10

Result is the same as above every time.

Please suggest what could be the cause.
Logs collected with DM_Log_Collector, attached.

Thank you

PS. This thread is a continuation of this one: Frequent multiple errors BSOD. Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums the only thing changed is Windows 10 now. instead of Windows 7. If that helps somehow.
