Windows 10: My freshly built pc is receiving and sending 0 kpbs, despite the ethernet being plugged in...

Hi, I have just finished building my brand new pc and it has successfully turned on, but when I have plugged the ethernet into the PC, it is receiving and sending 0kbps with an occasional spike that doesn't actually help. My motherboard is a TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING MOTHERBOARD. I have run a troubleshoot and it said that it detected nothing wrong with the ethernet. I was thinking it could be my own house wifi overall, but all the other devices that also have an ethernet plugged into it are getting the best wifi. My laptop, which is using a wireless connection, is getting good internet. I also checked the cables on all my pc components, and they are all plugged in correctly. Is there anything that I need to plug into the motherboard directly for the internet to receive, or is it into the ethernet plug in. Also, there is a light blinking next to the ethernet plug in, when I checked my motherboard manual it says an orange blinking light means "data activity". I also checked the internet drivers and they are all up to date. Can anyone help, and if you cant, will a wifi adapter card be better for this situation? Thanks

Issues Connecting Newly Built PC to Ethernet

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but I'm having issues getting my newly built PC connected to the Internet. I have an Ethernet cord plugged into my modem and into my PC but Windows is not detecting a connection. Any help is appreciated.

If this is of any help, my MOBO is an MSI Z97 Gaming 5.

 

Windows 10 after upgade to 1709 if keyboard not plugged then ethernet device is not detected.

When I start my windows 10 (1709 build) without plugging keyboard and mouse, it does not detect Ethernet card.

Mother board is of Intel and Ethernet is on board (integrated).

I have also installed latest Ethernet driver by auto updated drivers from internet.

Steps:

Shutdown pc

Remove keyboard and mouse

Keep lan cable plugged

Start pc

Ethernet device is not detected. It shows in list in Device manager screen. but with Yellow triangle.

Then I need to plug keyboard and just do a hardware scan then Ethernet is detected and all ok after that.

When I start with keyboard and mouse plugged in then it detects Ethernet card and available on LAN.

Am I missing something?
