Windows 10: Failed Windows 7 to 10 Upgrade: 0xC1900101 - 0x30004 error

Hello,


I've tried to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 10 a number of times. I have a Dell Latitude laptop with i7 processor, SSD hard drive, and 8 gb RAM.


[COLOR=rgba26, 26, 27, 1]The upgrade gets to 30% at the 'Working on Updates' stage and then the installation rebooted and subsequently stopped the dots animation was still running. The only thing I could do was rebooting the PC, which had successfully reverted the upgrade and logged me back into Win7, with the following error message displayed:[/COLOR]

[COLOR=rgba26, 26, 27, 1]0xC1900101 - 0x30004 The insallation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during INSTALL_RECOVERY_ENVIRONMENT operation[/COLOR]


[COLOR=rgba26, 26, 27, 1]Not sure what to do. I will also say my computer has been significantly slower since the failed update. [/COLOR]

Maybe it holds the clue.


Did you try the list of quick fixes which include removal of third party AV.

I failed to upgrade from Windows 7 to 10 with an error: 0xC1900101-0x4000D. What steps can you recommend?
