Windows 10: Wifi not available, qualcomm atheros QCA9377 is hidden and not connected. Windows 10...

My laptop, ASUS S410U always has a problem with the wifi. It won’t show up. I’ve tried uninstall, reinstall the qualcomm atheros at first. It worked, but after sometime, the device is gone. When i checked the hidden device, it is there and the status is the device not connected, to fix the problem reconnect this device. I don’t know how.

i tried updating devices in device manager using driver easy. Everytime my wifi’s lost, there must be a device or more needs to updated. So i updated every devices every now and then, the wifi worked fine until now.

right now no devices is needed to be updated. I downloaded and reinstall qualcomm atheros using devices support ? from asus support page last night. It went fine, the device showed up. But 8 hours later this morning, it went hidden again, the wifi not showing again. I tried to update the windows 10 ver 20H2, but it stuck in installing at 49%. Oh the last event on my qualcomm atheros device is on 26/07/2020, which confuse me, I was reinstalling it and it work last night. And right now, the pointer moves on it own, I need to disabled my touchpad to stop it. Please help! I’ve tried every ways i’ve search and none work.

Hello, I'm using an ASUS X442URR

my laptop suddenly not connected to wifi, my wifi driver (qualcomm) is also missing in the device manager






The wireless adapter under Qualcomm is not available in the device manager menu, not even if i scan for hardware changes,

uninstall, re-install the adapter plus necessary driver, reboot the computer, nor even if I do a network reset. and the only way im using the wifi is using the external wifi adapter

Are there any other solutions to this problem to make the wireless adapter appear?

I had a similar problem with the Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4 card and it turned out the driver was not signed.

I had to find an upto date signed driver and inject it into install.wim and clean install OS before device manager even recognised the hardware.

As it is not recognised, it may be under other devices. If so, then try and install driver there. If it finds one and says unsigned, you may have to disable secure boot and do an advanced start from recovery menus and select troubleshooting advanced options, startup settings, and select option to disable driver signature enforcement.

However, next time you boot pc, you will need to do it all over again until you find a signed driver (Atheros are bad for that on older cards).

It is probably easier just to buy a usb wifi dongle or wifi card (not Atheros).

Another workaround is to wifi bridge link a secondary router to main router and connect to secondary router via an ethernet port.

I have carried out the process that you have described, however I carry this process out on a weekly basis as the fault comes up that the
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless adapter is not recognised.

I have updated the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless adapter (microsoft)

Is there anything else that I should be updating?
