  1. Tip for Microsoft - the "Taskbar does not show up" issue

    Hello,

I will start with the tip:

It looks like the taskbar loses its topmost window property. Normally, when the taskbar is hidden, it is not totally gone: you can still see a line at the bottom of the screen, with some highlights for open apps and the search box. That line should be topmost. This is what it allows the taskbar to sense the mouse and show up. On the other hand, when the taskbar refuses to show up, that line is no longer on top of any window touching/crossing the bottom of the screen.

    This is my context:

I run Windows 10 on a laptop + secondary monitor. The option "Automatically hide the taskbar" is enabled.

The taskbar doesn't show up when the mouse moves at the bottom of the screen if I have a full screen window. The same happens if I have a restored down window crossing the bottom of the screen, if the mouse is above this window. If the mouse is outside the window, then the taskbar shows up, but it goes behind all windows the taskbar becomes bottom-most.
Playing with "Location on screen" in Taskbar/Settings would fix it, but only temporarily. As of now, the taskbar shows up on the laptop, but not on the secondary monitor.

    :)
