  1. UNKNOW SATA DISK REMOVED?

Hello, This started happening on my pc today, I installed drivers for a new printer i bought Canon Pixma TS3150, And a few hours later weird things started happening. The printer works ok, but I get weird notifications like ''This is not Optimal Resolution For your pc, Please select optimal resolution 1336x768 And something about the SATA disk????? Like ''Unknow SATA disk has been removed'' or ''Unknow SATA disk has been found in slot 4'', My pc is a few years old notebooks, Windows 10 20H2, Intel Core i3, Intel Graphics, Lenovo Brand, 4GB 64x, I don't know what does that mean i was reading some article about this and it said that this is warning my Computer disk is failing?! I don't want to lose all my data, I'm a student and if i lose it it's gonna be really hard for me, i am scared its a hacker attack or something, please help. I know some IT stuff but i never heard about this, Thank you!

    :)

    Can't safely remove external disk

In reference to the steps of your suggestions:

    • The issue is specific to the particular disk and it started after I've used the disk to save the System image backup (created with the Control Panel > File History tool).
    • I didn't disable any windows Service. I'm just wondering if there is any to disable.
    • Safe boot with networking, or clean boot doesn't resolve the issue.

    Thank you.

  3. SATA Hard disk problems

    Hi David,

Thank you for sharing this to the Microsoft Community. Since you've mentioned that you've done a series of troubleshooting steps, we recommend that you follow these steps for possible solution:

    • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box then type in
      diskmgmt.msc
      .
    • On the DIsk Management, assign a driver letter to the drive. You need to initialize and format it.

Disclaimer: Formatting the drive will lose all data in the drive.

    Looking forward to the result.

    UNKNOW SATA DISK REMOVED?

Error connecting SATA disk to Windows 10 using a SATA to USB harness

Tried running troubleshooter and restart as you suggested. I cannot allocate a Drive letter. Device Manager sees the device and driver ok. Says ASMT 2105 and says device is working properly. If I use Disk Manager it sees the device but says Dynamic Invalid.
It won't let me reactivate as it says it can't do this on an invalid Disk Pack. If I go to use Convert to Basic Disk it says I will loose data. This disk was the Disk 0 bootable disk for Windows 7. So it will have a boot sector and and a reserved section
etc. Then 2 main partitions. The first was the old partition mounted on C: as the OS 'disk'. The second partition was where I put some other data. I can't allocate a drive letter to this disk as I can't see any partitions. The driver is loading Ok.
But I am just not seeing this disk via the USB connection via the SATA cradle. Thanks for the suggestions but they don't solve the problem. The idea of the SATA saddle is so that I can connect SATA disks is necessary. I have looked in the Event Log but
cannot see anything obvisous. It also keep trying to do something with this disk/saddle. So something comes up and then disappears.
