    I am simply refusing to install the next Windows update. Both times it has done it without me being at home and it has caused my mouse to spaz and click all over the screen after the update.Both times uninstalling the update it fixes it and makes my old windows flawless. Please fix or address this issue before forcing it on my PC

    Please provide us more information to help you better:


    • Do you face this issue only with browsers or all the applications?

    • Are you using wired or wireless Mouse?

    • Did you try connecting mouse to other port?

    • Are you facing this issue with other Mouse too?

    • To troubleshoot your issue we need to know which update is causing this issue. Please let us know what is the KB number of the update you have installed?

    To know the KB numbers of the failing updates, follow the below steps:

    • In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Update.
    • In the left pane, click View update history.

    I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

    Method 1:
    Run Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.


    • Press Windows Key + R, type Control Panel.

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar, click on Troubleshooting.

    • Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.

    • Follow the steps from the wizard to run the Troubleshooter.

    Method 2:

  3. Touch pad Mouse

    The mouse driver can be outdated which causes the issue. To resolve this, we need to do several troubleshooting steps. We suggest that you update the mouse driver from the Device Manager. Follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right click on Mouse driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

    Windows 10 update July 2017

    Hello Meg,

    it will tell you it was they last update on the computer. It should be the first recover option on the list, I only had one option to select.

    Although my backup date was July 17, 2017.

    Yours may be similar?
