Windows 10: Windows Folder glitched name

Discus and support Windows Folder glitched name in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; Now I accidentally discovered a glitch I guess, I am not sure why is it so, you can take a look at the screenshot below: -It is the same "Windows"...     Windows Folder glitched name


    Now I accidentally discovered a glitch I guess, I am not sure why is it so, you can take a look at the screenshot below: -It is the same "Windows" folder in the OS C: drive, but in the explorer on the right side, it shows the Windows folder as "WINDOWS" all caps rather than normally as "Windows", I don't think so it's a big problem but I just want to know why is it so, like is it a bug, glitch, or whatever.I tried redirecting to the "WINDOWS" by typing "C:\WINDOWS" in file explorer but it made no sense as folders and files in windows are not case-sensitive, hence it redirected me to t

    Carlos: Thanks for your reply. What you suggest is what I have been doing. I search for folders with a specific name and get a list. Then I have to search each folder for a specific file. So it's a two step search and that's what I was trying to avoid.

    I assume there are applications out there that allow for an "AND" search in Windows. I'll try that approach.

    Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name


    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
      x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
      NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.

    Moved a folder from another drive and rename and it still shows as the old folder name in certain places

    Hi Nick,

    I suggest you to try the steps provided below and check the behavior.

    • Create a new folder name it as 'My Videos'.
    • Now copy/cut and paste the contents which are in the folder "Videos", and delete the folder "Videos".
    • Now check the behavior.
    Please keep us updated with the status of the folder, to assist you further.
