  1. Issues when forgetting the known networks Wi-Fi

My Wi-Fi router broke up and then renewed with another one by the provider. As a results, all pervious configuration in the router is lost. I have tried to config the new router as the old one. However, my Win 10 laptop still recognizes the difference between them. As the following figure, there is a "2" number before the SSID, but in the available networks, there is nothing. I have tried to forget the network. But the issues are still persisted. Furthermore, after forgetting, the laptop isn't asked me if the network is public or private. Someo

    Unable to 'Forget' Wi-Fi connections

The problem is "Manage Wi-Fi Settings" does not show a "Manage Known Networks" link. So no list of networks comes up nor does any "Forget" button.

  3. Forgeting other wi-fi networks

So if you want to forget the "extra" networks you have connected to in the past but just want to keep those that you connect to frequently then do this:

go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks

Look at all the networks and long press on each you want to remove

When you long press you will see an option to look at properties OR forget. Choose to forget and it will be gone!

The example below shows the pop up to forget the last one on my list of networks.
