Windows 10: I have a few windows keys and I'd like some assistance using one

I'm upgrading my girlfriends PC, it had Windows 7 which I upgraded to 10. We never attached a microsoft account to this PC so the 'key' didn't get attached to anything. I still have the windows 7 key. Can this be used again and upgrade to 10?The PC I'm using for her upgrade is a Dell case, motherboard and processor that was not needed at work anymore. It came without a harddrive. It has a Windows 7 sticker on the top, can I use that and upgrade to Windows 10?The other option is I have a broken Lenovo system that I can take the hard drive out of to access its files. It had came with Windows 8.

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Open command prompt and type the commands below (Type it in Search or Press Windows Logo Key+X. Click on Command Prompt admin).

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

powershell

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

• Close the Command Prompt window.

Cannot access D drive since upgrading to Windows 10.

  Is the D: drive located on the same hard disk or on different hard disk?
  
• 
  Did you have any important data saved on the
  D: drive?
  

If the D: is saved on another hard disk and you are unable to access it, I suggest you to format the drive completely and check if the issue is resolved.



To format the hard disk, follow the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Disk management option.
  
• 
  Right click on the D: drive and select
  Format option.
  
• 
  Wait for the formatting to complete and check if the changes are effective.

• Type-in the following command:
  
  attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
• Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

• Click on the File Explorer.
• Select This PC.
• Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
