To manually install the iTunes update package on your Windows 10 device, do the following:

On receiving the iTunes has an invalid signature, it will not be installed error prompt, do not click the OK button. If you click the OK button, iTunes will delete the update installation package which has already been downloaded to your PC.

Simply press Windows key + E to open File Explorer.

Then, navigate to the directory path below. Replace the <username> placeholder with your profile name.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apple\Apple Software Update

At the location, you will see the iTunes64 installation application and other service installation applications.

Now, double-click the iTunes64.exe to install the update step by step. After the installation has completed, restart the computer.

2] Download and install the latest iTunes version


To download and install the lates iTunes version on your Windows 10 PC, do the following:

Head over to Apple iTunes Download.

At the webpage, choose iTunes 32-bit or iTunes 64-bit to download. You can check if your Windows 10 OS is 32-Bit or 64-Bit.

Close the iTunes application.

Now, double-click the downloaded iTunes installer to begin the installation. When you run the installer, it will detect your old iTunes version.

Choose Repair when prompted.

This will repair the Apple Software Update, and reinstall and update iTunes to the latest version.

iTunes update, Invalid signiture error

When trying to install latest update for iTunes error message instructs to download manually, when downloading manually error says "Invalid Signature' and stops download. Apple support says it's a Microsoft problem. Microsoft instructs
the following;

a. Open Internet Explorer.

b. Go to Tools > Options.

c. Click on "Advanced" tab.

d. Scroll down to the Security section, check the Allow software to run or install even if the signature is invalid box.

e. Click the Apply button, and then click the OK button.

I have Windows 10 and for the life of me I can't find Tools much less Tools. Options. When I search tools all that comes up are Administrative tools or Bing listings for screwdrivers etc.. Administrative tools doesn't have anything that looks like what they're
referring to. Any help would be much appreciated.

iTunes update, Invalid signiture error

Encountered the same issue, this is what i did and it worked.

1) in I.E. go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > scroll down to Security and tick “Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid > Apply > OK

(not sure this step is necessary, but i did it anyway)

2) open iTunes > Account > Sign In (put in your apple id and password)

3) in iTunes > Help > Check for Updates (then just follow the normal procedures)

Can't download updates by "Install" or "Manually" ~ invalid signature??

HELP...... trying to download (2) updates (iTunes/iCloud) and keep getting error message.

Then tried doing it Manually but keep getting "Files shared by these updates" has an invalid signature!??
