Windows 10: Text, icons suddenly large - Windows 10

I was on my computer earlier. Settings were as usual. Came back and all desktop and tray icons as well as browser print are huge, even though I didn't change anything. Zoom is set at 100%. Display resolution is set at 1024 x 768. Tray icons are so big there is now a scroll bar in the try. Nothing I do seems to make much of a difference.

Mouseover/Icon text is suddenly huge!


Hi...

I noticed recently that text size of the mouseovers on my system changed to a very large size. I'm not sure if I inadvertently hit a shortcut key or something that did this or not, but I can't seem to find where to adjust this text size.





I also noticed that this large size also seems to affect a few applications (like PowerPoint, Adobe PDF Viewer, etc.) but not others (like Word, Excel).






Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Files & Folders View as medium or large Icons

To assist you better, we would suggest that you try to follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Once you are viewing a folder, right click an empty space within the File Explorer window and select View from the dialogue menu, then choose Large or any icon you wanted to use. Alternatively, you can use the following shortcut keys on the keyboard to
  change your View settings:

• CTRL + SHIFT + 1 Extra Large
• CTRL + SHIFT + 2 Large icons
• CTRL + SHIFT + 3 Medium Icons
• CTRL + SHIFT + 4 Small Icons
• CTRL + SHIFT + 5 List
• CTRL + SHIFT + 6 Details
• CTRL + SHIFT + 7 Tiles
• CTRL + SHIFT + 8 Content

3. Once you have the view set, you can make it the default view for

every folder.

4. Click Apply, then click OK.

Large text

In Windows, that only changes the size of the icons, not text and menus. In browsers it zooms the text, too, but the OP's issue according to the screenshots is not in browsers but in Windows, the menu text size.
