Windows 10: How to disable the Remove button on Windows Hello Face and Windows Hello Fingerprint...

We are trying to implement Passwordless authentication to Windows. We want to enable the user with both Windows Hello Face and Windows Hello Fingerprint. Some of the system information are as below:OS Version - Windows 10 Build - 10.0.18363The requirements are as below: User should be able to setup their Face and Fingerprint as a self-serviceThey should be allowed to "Improve Recognition" on Hello Face and "Add Another" on Hello Fingerprint after the setup is complete.User should not be able to remove the biometrics after they are setup. So, need to disable the "Remove" but

Windows Hello Fingerprint issue

We understand that you are unable to use Windows Hello Fingerprint to sign in to Windows. It would be great if you can reply with the details requested below:

• When you say, “I am not getting the option to log-in into windows using fingerprint.” What login options do you see on the login screen?
  
• What happens when you try to use the Windows Hello Fingerprint scanner to login to Windows?
  
• Were you able to use the Windows Hello Fingerprint to login to Windows earlier?
  

Ideally, on the login screen, you will see Sign-in options that allows you to use different sign-in methods to login to Windows.



As you have mentioned that you are able to use the Fingerprint scanner on websites, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. On the login screen, click on Sign-in options.
   
2. Click on the Fingerprint icon, scan the Fingerprint, and see if you are able to sign in.

If the issue persists, try removing the Fingerprint and add it again. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Accounts and click on
   Sign-in options on the left pane.
   
3. Now, click on Windows Hello Fingerprint and click on
   Remove.
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the Fingerprint.
   
5. Once done, click on Set up and follow the on-screen instructions to add the Fingerprint.

Windows Hello Face/Fingerprint

The Windows Hello Face/Fingerprint feature was working on my HP Envy and now it is not working and it says that my laptop camera/fingerprint scanner is not compatible, when it was working less than 12 hours ago. When I look into how to reconnect or find
Window Hello Fingerprint/Face biometrics the only help I get is to the Windows 10 sign-in options.
I need to know how and were to find the Windows Hello Face/fingerprint biometrics management settings that is not in the sign-in options, but is how to re-download it or check it's compatibility status with my laptop.

My make is the Hp Spectre x360 Convertible 13-ap0xx

I tried to remove the Windows Hello Face and Fingerprint under Settings, but there is no option for "Remove". For the Face Recognition, the Remove button is there, but I can't press it. For the Fingerprint, the only option is "Set Up", and I also can't click
that.

I also went on Device Manager. Under "Biometrics", I removed the Fingerprint and Facial Recognition. However, when I rebooted the computer and pressed "Scan for Hardware Changes", only the Fingerprint Reader was restored, and I can't find the Facial Recognition
anywhere.
