    video tdr failure: nvlddmkm.sys

    Hi valihrach,

Some of your suggestions are not for TDR problems, TDR problems are video related and things as sata/raid controller driver replacement have nothing to do with video related things.

The third thing is a personal opinion and may not be a solution for the OP, many will say that AMD sucks where many others will say that Nvidia sucks.

    Hello,

Thank you for your time for posting your concern here in Microsoft Community and we appreciate the time and effort you have put in. Let me assist you further from here.

Now, to be able to assist you better, let us know the make and model of the computer you are using. Also, let us know if you made any recent hardware/software changes to the computer prior to the issue.

Now, the issues you are facing is due to driver configuration in Windows 10. In your case, the video driver essentially went through a Time Detection and Recovery(TDR) process.

TDR is essentially a recovery implementation to prevent overloading of GPU. Please be advised to not overclock any of your hardware components as it may aggravate to the cause of failure and recovery cycles.

Secondly, the error message software not meet system requirements during driver installation occurs if the existing hardware configuration is corrupt/damaged. To ascertain the cause of the issue, try to view the Event IDs in
Event Viewer to check for specific events triggering the issue.

To view activities in Windows, I suggest you to open the Event Viewer. To do so, follow the below steps.

    • Go to the Control Panel and choose to click on the
      Administrative Tools icon.
    • The above action will open up a new window of the Administrative Tools where you will see the
      Event Viewer.

Please follow the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1

    a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

    b) Click on Troubleshooting
    tab.

    c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

    d) Select the Hardware and Device
    option from the list.

    e) Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
    Troubleshooter.

    Method 2

I suggest you to consider the following important steps and check if it helps.

    • Try to isolate the cause, and uninstall/disable the Nvidia driver and observe if such issues occur anymore with only the onboard graphics driver installation.
    • Check with the PC manufacturer's website if any new drivers are available for the on board video device.

Also, visit the video card manufacturer’s website (Nvidia) and check if the driver version you are using is up to date.
