Windows 10: Plug and Play Bluetooth toggle no longer works

I have TP-Link USB Bluetooth Adapter for PCUB400, 4.0 Bluetooth Dongle Receiver Support that has worked great for the past year. My PC does not have Bluetooth hardware. After updating Windows 10 last night. It no longer works. The Bluetooth on/off no longer appears in Settings/Bluetooth. I have tried removing from USB and reinserting. Any suggestions?

Bluetooth plug 'n' play not working

Thanks for your answer.

1. I tried the Bluetooth troubleshooter. Even though I had my TPlink adapter plugged in, it said there was no adapter installed.

2. The device does not show up in Device Manager as a Bluetooth device. When I tried rolling back/uninstalling the driver a little while ago, it switched to shspeakllspowing up under 'Other Devices > CSR_BTPORT_01'. Letting Device Manager online for the
latest driver didn't seem to do anything. I checked network under task manager, and it didn't seem to be using any network. I did leave it running for half an hour though.

My PC is a custom gaming computer I built myself... So I can't just download drivers from a website. I did ask TP-Link, and they said that they didn't create a specific Windows 10 driver even, because they just rely on Windows Plug 'speakllsN' Play.

In task manager, under details it says:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)There are no compatible drivers for this device.To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.

3. My problem does resemble some of the ones listed in the article.

'The Bluetooth icon is missing or Bluetooth can't be turned on or off.'

And 'Bluetooth doesn't appear in Device Manager, and there are no unknown devices listed.' except that mine does have unknown devices listed.

The troubleshooting steps didn't really help though.

4. I did what you said, and saw that Bluetooth Support Service was off, and also set to start manually only. I turned it on, and then switched it to start automatically (automatic trigger start).

I tried running through the previous steps now that it has activated the service.

Troubleshooter still couldn't find any Bluetooth devices.

Updating the driver in Device Manager still seems to do nothing.

5. I have no system restore points .

What should I do now?

 

win10 no longer allows plug n play keyboards to work

plug and play..... so all keybds plug into usb ports.....it acts like someone clicked a setting to disallow keyboards. onn keybd , logitech ones, none work, not even the one that worked right befor the reboot. saw old posts for older systems suggesting deleting c windows inf file but win10 doesnt have the same file name. i may have to just reformat

 

My plug and play is still on running after 2.5 Hours

I would suggest you to stop the plug and play service and again start the service and check the status of this issue. Follow the steps below to stop the Plug and Play service.

• 
  Press Windows Key + R key
  
• 
  Type “Services.msc” and press Enter
  
• 
  Right click on Plug and Play and click on stop
  
• 
  Again start the service.
