    Expand C Drive partition

I am running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitude 3540 laptop. It has a 480GB SSD fitted, partitioned as C: & E:. There is about 20GB free of 220GB on C: and about 160GB free of 200GB on E:. In Computer Management, the two partitions are adjacent and there is no unallocated space. How can C: be expanded at the expense of E:?Richard

    :)

  2. Expanding C drive partition

Hello. My SSD drive, where C is found, is too small now so I bought I larger SSD and cloned C. Now I need to expand the partition to take advantage of all that extra space on my new drive. How, please?

  3. Expanding C drive partition

Disk 3 is the new, larger SSD, whixh will eventuwlly become C, or disk 0, the boot drive. What i am trying to do is take the cloned partition and expand it, to take advantage of the space on the larger drive.

    Cant expand ssd /C partition

    Hi EJSS1985

Your screenshot is a bit unclear, is your C drive the partition on the left, and do you want to expand C into the partition on the right, if so, is there data on that right hand partition?

Windows will refuse to expand the left partition into the right partition, because there is a small partition between those

You will need to use a 3rd party utility to expand the C drive. The free version of AOMEI Partition Assistant is totally free, fully featured and easy to use

    https://www.diskpart.com/free-partition-manager...

Using that, you can either shrink the right hand partition or delete it, then you can merge your C drive into the resulting unallocated space . . .
