Dear Team,I did windows update Restart and update. After that I am not able to start my windows and it was hung up in "preparing auto repair" screen in infinite loop and no troubleshooting windows has come to restore it to some previous restored point. So I tried system recovery from F11 as I was hoping to see troubleshooting screen but it also hangs up with "please wait" screen. The diagnosis logs from F2 shows the hdd scans both short DST and long DST were failed.My questions are,1 Does the HDD failure often happen after the windows 10 update2 How can I go to troubleshooting page at th

• See if ram stick are properly seated
• Try to check did you seated your cpu properly
• See if all of the cables lie down ok in their slots
• Check for excesive paste on the CPU socket
• Try a hard reset of laptop by removing the cmos battery out for 15 minutes
• Remove your HDD and try to start the laptop

I hope this will help you a bit. Had a HP Pavilion on a maintenance check a while ago and either you believe it or not he didn't want to start because of a bad hard drive and gave me signal that the CPU was faulty.
