Windows 10: Setting up speakers to my new laptop

Hi, I recently bought a new laptop HP Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 and am having problems setting up the outside speakers to it like I had on the old laptop. On the old laptop when I would plug in the jack, a pop-up window would appear and I would choose 'output sound'. Worked great and I had stereo. On this new laptop though there appear to only be two options; and neither of them put the sound to the outside speakers. I'd really appreciate any help, thanks!

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works. This issue could be because of the Headphones BT SPEAKER Stereo being set as default. I suggest you to try the steps listed below and check if it works.

• Pair the speaker with your PC.
  
• Right click the Windows icon on the taskbar and choose
  Device Manager.
  
• Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
  and right click on your Bluetooth speaker (BT SPEAKER Stereo).
  
• Choose Disable and acknowledge the confirmation popup. Wait for the screen to refresh.
  
• Right click on the same device again and Enable.
  
• Exit Device Manager and see if the issue persist.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Can't set speakers as 2.1

Well lads,
I'm using a Windows 8 laptop and I'm trying to set my speakers as 2.1 as I've just bought a new little speaker system for it.

When I'm in audio config, it only shows stereo 2.0 and nothing else can be changed??

I'm unable to get any bass/treble control or any special features! even the realtek/dolby audio control thing doesn't allow any bass/treble changes... it only has EQ changes and that's it.

Does anyone have any suggestions??
