Windows 10: Voice Recorder picks up my mic but not other person on a call

I searched for how to resolve this problem to no avail. Through trial and error, I discovered a fix. If you use Voice Recorder or other record apps like Audacity and it records your voice from the mic but does not record the other party e.g., on Zoom or Teams calls: Go to Settings, System, Sounds, open the Sound Control Panel. From there, go to Recording tab. Select the 'default' device used for your microphone. Right click and select Properties. From there, go to the Advanced tab. Finally UNCHECK the 'Enable audio enhancement' option. Hope that helps any others with this problem.

Voice recorder records my voice but not the other person.

It was working before, but after I update a few months back it stopped recording the person on the other line. I tried some troubleshooting steps that I found here and that did not solve the issue.

mic not picking up my voice

oh boy

ok so im on windows 10 and im having issues with my microphone now. so my built-in laptop mic is not working atm. every time i try to record my voice, all i hear is static or light
faint taps. it isnt picking up my voice but its picking up output audio. i tried updating the drives, tried setting up a mic, but when testing it, it wont pick up anything. and went to audio drives (see below):





but nothing is working at all. i checked if the device was disabled but its not. i havent had this problom before btw.

XBox Record Mic Recordings.

When I use the "record that" feature when I am playing video games, the recording is properly relaying the sounds of the game I'm playing as well as the the sound of my mic, but it is not picking up the sounds of my friends voices on discord. I notice
in a very select few of my clips you can hear my friends' voices but for the most part it just sounds like I'm talking to myself. Is there a way to make it so Xbox record always records all my friends' voices on discord as well as my own?
