After a Windows Update. Hello signing asking for USB and 2nd password that not setup.

I recently reset my Microsoft Store Cache and had a Windows 10 Update. This cause my account to be signed off from my computer's local account. When logging by Hello, it is asking for a USB to confirm my account. I never setup Hello to use any USB sign-in.When doing it by password sign-in. It takes my user and password then asks to enter password again to confirm. Confirm password doesn't work.I really don't understand what happen or how to reset? I still have access to the computer and my account online.

    :)

Unable to setup Windows Hello, error: incorrect pin

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

May I know the complete error code or error message that you are receiving when you try to setup Windows Hello?

Do you have any other user account on the computer?

If yes, does Windows Hello work on that account?

If Windows Hello is not setup on other account, please setup it up and check if it works so that we can narrow down the issue for you.

I suggest to remove the pin and setup a new pin on the child account and check if it works with Windows Hello.

Please follow the steps below to remove and re-add the PIN:

    • Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings.
    • Select Accounts.
    • Click on Sign-in options.
    • Under PIN, remove the pin. There will be prompt to enter password, enter the password and removed the PIN.
    • After the pin is removed, please click on
Add to setup pin for the account.
    • After setting up a new PIN, try to set up Windows Hello.

    Hope it helps.

  3. Windows Hello asked for login password even when I use my finger print

    Hi,

Your computer may be experiencing trouble recognizing your fingerprint during sign-in, thus asking for the a password to be able to sign-in. We recommend removing Windows Hello, then set it up again to help resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Settings.
    • Click Accounts, then Sign-in options in the left pane.
    • Click Remove under Windows Hello.
After removing Windows Hello, set it up again. Click this article
for reference on how to use Windows Hello.

Update us on the outcome so we can provide further assistance.

  4. After a Windows Update. Hello signing asking for USB and 2nd password that not setup.

My hello sign in stopped working.

    Hi,

This problem that started after installing the last Windows update might be caused by outdated or corrupted device drivers. For us to better assist you, we'll be needing additional information:

    • Are you pertaining on Windows Hello sign-in? If yes, does it mean that the facial recognition is not working?
    • Is there an error message displayed when using Windows Hello?

Meanwhile, it is better to check the status of Windows Hello sign-in option in your computer. To check the Windows Hello status, follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button and select the Settings
      icon.
    • Choose Accounts from the list.
    • Select Sign-in options in the left pane of the window.
    • Under Windows Hello, kindly check the status of it.

As an initial troubleshooting step, we suggest keeping the device drivers like camera driver up-to-date. For your reference, check this article on how to
    update drivers in Windows 10.

We'll keep an eye out for your response.
