Windows 10: Getting the drive referred to by a disk event Disk N PDO name: \Device\PPPPPPPP

Hi,This is a variant of a question that has been raised quite a number of times.I get events in the System event log with messages such as:The IO operation at logical block address 0x5b1f48 for Disk 2 PDO name: \Device\00000451 was retried.Note that there are two particular aspects of my use case:1. the disk referred to by the message might have been disconnected and possibly reconnected, so the disk number N and/or the PDO PPPPPPPP might no longer exist in the system2. there could be multiple identical disks connec

BSOD Occuring Daily Atleast Once Since Six Months

Results for steps 1 - 11 were good.


Test the drives with post #5 steps 13 - 14.

Error: No disk in drive N:

At start up, I get an error message: No disk in drive N: Please insert a disk in drive N: There is one of these messages for each of several exe files that appear to be start up programs. I have to X out of each error several times before they go away.

After installing W10 I now have many drives that show up in Windows Explorer that I did not have before. If I click on N:, I just get a message to insert a disk. I do not have a disk drive designated as N:.

What's going on and how do I get rid of the error messages?

I just found a problem with my Mushkin Reactor 1TB ssd, how do I fix

In event viewer, it shows a warning event id 153 disk
The IO operation at logical block address 0x5c0d4931 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000036) was retried.
is there a way to fix this?
