How can I hide/remove the cumulative update KB5004476, which is in an eternal failing loop?

This update continuously fails to install on my spare laptop Acer V1-771 running W10 Home which is otherwise up to date. I've followed lots of advice given elsewhere, from a full reset to running all the system checks – SFC, DISM, ChkDsk, etc. none of which found any issues – and even deleted the windows update folder. Having read the notes on this update it seems the only new thing it contains is a fix for X-Box game downloading/running, but since I neither need nor care about that I thought I would just try to hide the update altogether. I had previously downloaded the show/hide update tro

  2. Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB3081424) fails to install and reboots with error: “We couldn’t complete the updates. Undoing changes.”

Your answer does not help anyone or anything. This was the FIRST cumulative update to fail for me and every single cumulative update has failed since. They all stop at 15% - dead - eternal update loop.

Whatever is wrong with THIS update is what is causing our issues.

KB3135173 Fails to install - Cumulative Reboot Loop Again

Every cumulative update always fails on 2 of my 5 PC's. Windows 10 was a clean install on all 5 PC's with a new SSD drive back when Windows 10 was released to the public.

Cumulative updates never gets to a percent of install, just reboots and a notification of that it did not install. I have had to completely reinstall Windows (thus re-installing all my APPS, programs & data - takes about 3 days) to stop the rebooting. But
then on the next cumulative update Microsoft pushes out the entire process is repeated.

None of the "fixes" work on these forums.

    • SFC: Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations
    • DISM: No component store corruption detected
    • REGISTRY: Shows no rogue users, just the system and the main primary user of the PC
    • DIRECT DOWNLOAD: Direct links to the cumulative update from MS also fail to install
    • WINDOWS UPDATE TROUBLESHOOTER: Reports no errors
    • RESETTING WINDOWS UPDATES COMPONENTS: Does not fix the problem
    • HIDING THE UPDATE and/or DEFER: Works for a few days but then starts the process again of downloading the update, ask to reboot, then fails and the reboot loop begins again.

I've also been involved in this thread:

Cumulative Updates KB3124262 and KB3124263 failed to install

So far I have had to clean install Windows 10, 3 times since end of October 2015. This is not acceptable. Microsoft needs to fix this "reboot loop" and/or allowing us the ability to STOP all cumulative updates to install until Microsoft can fix their problem
of why updates fail. Windows as a service? More like Windows as a hassle.

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.
