Windows 10: Pinning the ribbon on OneNote for Windows 10 app

I have been a big fan of OneNote for Windows 10 app NOT the one that comes with Office on Surface Pro. The ribbon used to be pinned but for some recent months, the ribbon automatically gets hidden. I have to tap/click the ribbon every time I need to access it. It is the same problem mentioned in this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_onenote-mso_win10-mso_365hp/one-note-win-10-pin-ribbon/25a90620-3831-429e-bb13-2c98f622f283 but there the solution was to uninstall and then reinstall the app. However, I can't figure out how to do that uninstall. OneNote

Thanks for the reply, Peter, but as I suggested in my post,
there is no option in OneNote for Windows 10 to configure the audio, and so there is no such "default device" under the options menu. Also, as I said, audio options used
to appear on the Ribbon in previous versions of OneNote, but it no longer exists in the OneNote App for Windows 10.

The problem seems to be specific to OneNote for Windows 10:

1. there is no audio in the app.

2. there are no UI options in the app to configure audio.

Interesting. I followed your path and OneNote is not on my taskbar User Pinned list either.

Maybe you are getting to the bottom of this when you say you can't remove.

My OneNote was replaced by this Window 10 app. I don't actually recall doing this. It removed the old Onenote.

In my program list it is called OneNote for Windows 10.

I wonder if yours is getting confused.

Under default apps, by protocol, is OneNote for Windows 10 the only default app.

Yes it is indeed possible to pin a OneNote note to the start screen. Follow these instructions:

To pin a OneNote note

• 
  In the
  App list, tap OneNote
  
  .
  
• 
  Tap and hold the note you want to pin, and then tap Pin to start.
