Can not open file location, remove from start menu, or uninstall best match shortcut for...

I recently installed Photoshop version 2021, and I want to replace the best match result when I type 'Photoshop' into my search bar. However, when I try to right click the deceased shortcut for Photoshop 2020 to remove it, nothing happens. I click on the shortcut, nothing happens. How do I remove this shortcut so it can be replaced with the more recent one?

    :)

Custom Start Menu & Metro App removal

I used to have the scripts that are listed all over the web within my Win10 deployment and it worked wonderfully. But now, it's not. And i'm not sure why.

What's happening is, the metro apps are being removed, but their shortcuts i guess are staying behind.

And as for the start menu, the file is being applied to the default profile and i can open the layoutmodification.xml file in the current user location and the default user location and the contents of it match the desirable xml file on the SCCM server that's being deployed, but the start menu still looks original to a fresh Win10 install, but it also has messed up metro app shortcuts that are left behind from the apps that were removed.

Why is this? Is it because of patching my WIM within SCCM to have the latest patches\updates?

I've included a screen shot of what it looks like now on the start menu and my currently installed metro apps. The other is the screenshot of the current update status to the WIM within SCCM

Desktop shortcut is opening application and explorer window location

Hi Lyle, probably best to just create a new shortcut . . .

On your Start Menu, in the alphabetical list of installed apps, locate that application

Right click and choose More - Open File Location

Right click the resulting file and choose Send to Desktop (create shortcut)

    Delete the old shortcut

Open file location is missing in pinned apps

    ,
No, that's not the sort of 'file location' the OP is referring to. Your 'file location' opens File Explorer at the location of the shortcut for that app in the Start Menu's Programs folder. The OP wants the list of recently opened files, or the Jump List as it is known (hover over each one and it shows its file location). Theirs is turned off (and yours by the looks of it).
