Windows 10 and my 4k TV

I cant get Windows to recognize my 4k tv.I have an nvidia 2070 which is more than capable of running at 4k. The TV is a TCL 65S435. I have talked to TCL on the phone and they said it was something to do with Windows newest update or something. I have it running from a Display Port from the GPU to HDMI in the back of the tv. Everytime I go to device manager and try getting it to download updated drivers it only gives me the generic display driver. My nvidia hardware shows it in there along with my 2 other monitors, which are 24" Asus 1080p. Even windows

    :)

  3. What 4K tv to buy?

So does everybody suggest that I buy the Vizio E43U D2? Is the E43U D2 my best choice or are there better choice of 4k tvs out there like the m43 C1, sony tv, lg tv, or samsung tv that is 40-43 inches?

Why not buy a small 4K TV instead of a large 4K monitor?

    People do it.

Rule of thumb: if the spacing between the TV and the eye is about equal to the diagonal of the TV, the pixels will just be resolved by someone with good vision.

I suggest not getting an OLED TV because of potental burn-in issues. The smallest OLED is 55", anyway - a bit large for a desktop monitor.
