Storage Setting Accounts for a Game I Have Already Uninstalled

    Hey Lee,

It sounds like your problem may involve SWTOR leaving a phantom name. Instructions on the procedure for removing it that way can be found here:

    http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-syst...

If that doesn't seem to be the problem, try this solution I found on the SWTOR forums:

If you try re-running the setup file in the game files, this may resolve this error and the program should be added to the list and available for you to uninstall.

Please go to www.swtor.com/download and download the setup file again and run it.This will reinstall the Launcher, it will not download the game content again.

A third (and hopefully finally) solution that I found is a bit shorter, so you may want to try this first:

1.: go to your install directory (sth. like C:\Program Files...\Star Wars the Old Republic) and delete this folder

2.: go to My Documents and delete the Star Wars the Old Republic Folder

3.: Press Windows + R, enter %LocalAppData% into the popup window, delete the swtor folder.

This will remove all of SWTOR. If you want to keep your screenshots, skip step #2. If you want to keep your settings, skip step #3.

    Regards,

    Carson

How I Solved Swtor The Old Republic Crashing My Computer.

    SWTOR and Windows 10 Bug....

I want to say that I found a small bug while playing Star Wars: The Old Republic on Windows 10. I noticed while playing SWTOR today, that when you click on one of the quickbar abilities with your mouse (on the bottom row), it switches you to the Windows desktop. The game does not crash, but it's as if you push the Windows key.

What I figured out is for some reason, the Windows taskbar is still active on parts of the bottom row while using quickbar abilities, so it thinks you're trying to adjust the taskbar in Windows. I need to report this to MS. I found an easy fix to this though. It's a little annoying, but all you have to do to fix this is just set the taskbar in Windows to 'autohide'. This way it doesn't see it. This will work until MS gets around to fixing this bug.
