Windows 10: File not showing in OneDrive folder until I physically open

Hi All,I have an issue with files not showing in a OneDrive folder until I physically open the OneDrive folder.Scenario:I have a virtual machine set up that receives a CSV file in to a OneDrive folder. The CSV file is detached by Power Automate from an email that arrives everyday at 7.00am. I then have a task scheduled to run at 7.30am, and every hour thereafter, that moves the file from the OneDrive folder to a specific local folder.Problem:I log on to the virtual machine in the morning and open the OneDrive folder and see that there isn't a file in the folder..... brilliant it must have tran

Search opens local files in OneDrive folder only in browser

Hi Elias,

To resolve your concern regarding opening local files on OneDrive, follow the steps below:

• Go to
  OneDrive.com.
• Right click on the file that you want to view.
• Click on Download.
• The file will be downloaded, and would normally show up on the bottom part of your browser.
• Click the file, and it would open up using its normal default application.

onedrive duplicating my folders...

Hi.

Again, onedrive is going crazy and is duplicating my main folder, full of subfolders. It's locking me out of all my files. I have windows 10, Office 365 home. I paused synch at the moment before I have 1000 copy of my folder, which I can't open anyway!
Please don't ask me any question that will further delay the repair. Simply give me a step by step solution and then improve onedrive so this won't happen again to so many of us. I suggest you also add "onedrive" in the list of "Windows Topics" below since
thousands of users have issues with it.

Explorer hangs when opening OneDrive folder

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community forum.

You may try the steps listed below and check if it works.

Uninstall OneDrive:

• Search ‘CMD’ from the start menu and choose ‘Command Prompt (Admin).
  
• Copy paste the following command and hit enter:
  
  taskkill /f /im OneDrive.exe
  
• Copy paste the following command and hit enter once the command mentioned above is completed:
  
  %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall
  

Delete OneDrive related files:

• Open ‘File Explorer’ and type ‘%UserProfile%\OneDrive’ in the address bar.
  
• Select all the files and Delete.
  
• Type ‘%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\OneDrive’ in the address bar and tap Enter.
  
• Right click the logs folder and Delete.
  
• Delete all the files except the ‘Update’
  folder.
  
• Type ‘%ProgramData%\Microsoft OneDrive’ in the address bar and tap Enter.
  
• Delete all the files present there.
  
• Type C:\OneDriveTemp in the address bar and tap Enter.
  
• Delete all the files and restart the computer.
  

Reinstall OneDrive:

• Open File Explorer and type the following in the address bar:
  
  C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive
  
• Double click the Update folder and run the
  OneDriveSetup file.
  
• Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall OneDrive.
  

Check if the issue persists after reinstalling OneDrive.
