Windows 10 Apps crash after launching if Windows Updates are Current

This is my first post on this forum. My name is Chandra Swami and I am a monk following the ancient Vedic tradition of Bhakti in the Krishna Consciousness Movement. I have been involved with computers for a long time and am active in music creation, video editing, 3-D graphics and animation, Zoom-casting as well as web-design. So I use a computer for many purposes. And, especially with web-design, I was forced to grapple with and understand many details of various languages, data-structures, IT communication strategies and all that kind of good muck. I have never gone to computer tech school but am self-taught for the most part. I had a problem that persisted for weeks. My Windows apps would always crash just after launching. Windows-Search was dead and wouldn't even launch. Windows-Store would crash when any item was chosen for installing. Window-Weather would not load. Microsoft-Office-360-One-Stop would not launch. Outlook-Mail would crash after 40 seconds. The Add-User Function in User-Accounts would crash when trying to add a user. MS-Help would crash, MS-Feedback would crash, MS-Whiteboard would crash. For weeks I tried all the fixes that I could search on the internet: I tried to restart Window-Explorer. I tried to run sfc /scannow. I tried running DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth. I tried re-initializing all the Windows apps with Powershell. I tried various Window-10-Troubleshooting applications. I tried a clean-boot. Windows-Search would work but only in SafeMode. I tried various registry tweaks. None of these restored my working Windows apps. Finally I began to uninstall various Window-Updates, starting with the (KB4562830)-Feature Update. Then (KB5003690), then (KB5003537), then finally the (KB5003637)-Security Update. Only when I uninstalled the last of these 4 Updates, did my system return to normal. All the Windows 10 apps that I mentioned in the beginning then would work as normal. This means that one of the Updates was in fact the source of their failure to launch and work. On my configuration, one or more of these Updates, kicks the legs out from underneath the Windows apps, causing them to fold on launch. Recently, Windows does not allow for any granularity in choosing what Update to install or leave aside, so you either have to install everything or nothing. When choosing Updates to uninstall, the "time installed" property doesn't populate in my screen on my system, so I have to guess. I am using an MSI-GL73-9SDK Laptop, with 32GB RAM. Using Windows Home 10.0.19041.985.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

Not sure about the games you listed but no probs with Dirt Rally and benching heavensward-bench here for me. I'm going to test 3DMark too in a few minutes.
