Windows 10: Cannot print from Windows 10. Printer works properly.

Everywhere I try to print from, when I click the print button the page becomes slow then it comes back with a message saying this document cannot print. There are no problems with the printer. I restarted the computer, the driver is up to date, I reinstalled the printer. Nothing helps.

Windows 10 Home Won't Print to Remote Printer


I have three computers.
Machine 1: Windows 10 pro, has the USB Brother HL-5040 printer
Machine 2: Windows 10 pro, prints OK to the remote printer.
Machine 3: Windows 10 home, Used to print, but not anymore (THIS IS THE PROBLEM).
I’ve tried everything that I can think of, and would appreciate any suggestions.
I did these steps on Machine 3 that did not work.

1. Remove the printer device.
2. Add a Printer
3. The printer that I want isn’t listed
4. Select a shared printer by name
5. Browse
6. Select the displayed Machine 1.
7. Select the displayed Printer.
8. Next
9. Failure “Connect to Printer”.
10. Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or Hostname
11. Next
12. Set Hostname to Machine 2, and set port name.
13. Detecting TCP/IP Port
14. Additional Port information required.
15. Device Type – Standard, Brother Port Server
16. Next
17. Detecting the Driver Model
18. Install The Print Driver
19. Select Brother and Brother HL-5040
20. Next
21. Replace the Current Driver
22. Printer Name (setting it to HL-5040)
23. Next
24. Do not share this printer
25. Next
26. You’ve successfully added “HL-5040”
27. Finish

Printing on Machine 3 puts the document in the print queue, which reports error printing.
Printing from Machine 2 to the printer on Machine 1 works perfectly.
All three machines are in the same HomeGroup. Machine 3 can access the shared files from Machine 1.

 

Unable to print the contents of newsletter properly on Windows 10.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions:

• Did you check in print preview pane if the content is shown properly?
• Which browser are you using to print the newsletter?

Step 1: If the content to print is showing properly in Print preview pane, I suggest you to run the
Printer troubleshooter to check if there is any issue with the printer.

Running the troubleshooter will help in detecting and identifying the issue and sometime will fix to enhance the performance of the system.

  Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type
  troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
  
• 
  Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.
  
• 
  Select Printer,
  click on Advanced option and check
  Apply repairs automatically option.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instructions.
  
• 
  After completing the process, check for error status and do the necessary changes.
  
• 
  If you do not get any error status, close the window and check if the changes are effective.
  

Step 2: If the print preview pane is not showing properly, then I suggest you to set the pages accordingly before giving the print command and check if the issue is resolved.

Windows 10 new upgrade; HP network printer will not print

Windows 10 new upgrade; HP network printer shows as properly installed on printer list but will not print. Printer dialogue box shows "printing" but no output. I have removed and reinstalled this printer to this PC. Same printer worked before with
Win 8.1 and still does with my wife's Win 7 PC. So not printer. Win 10 printer troubleshooter did not find any problems. Any suggestions to correct?
