Unlimited screen time during school hours

I've setup "screen time" usage for my daughter's laptop - am familiar with multiple schedules within days and the like. I am looking to discover a solution for configuring screen time restrictions to only apply outside of school hours as she uses her laptop at school. Ultimately I would like her laptop weekday useage between 9am and 3pm to not count towards her screentime somehow. I presume this makes sense.... if I limit her to "2 hours screen time" per day, I'm not intending have the odd English or Maths lesson count towards that limit as these vary within school hours. In utopia I w

  2. Screen Time Limits Just Outside School Hours?

With the pandemic causing my kids to do school from home I've found I'd like a little more refinement in screen time limits. I'd essentially like there to be no limit during school hours and then to have normal limits after that. Since the amount of
screen time used for school each day is variable, I can't just add x hours to the normal leisure and creative time limit. Is there a way to set this up in the normal family group settings? Multiple blocks within the day that have different rules?

Kid screen time: gaming time versus school work time

Thank you, It seems to work.

I've created two accounts. Me been the only admin of the system (s), I do install only app games on the gaming account, while office and school apps are installed for all users.

    • Kid-gamer account: is limited on daily screen time, have controlled Microsoft Store purchasing capabilities, and allows downloading stuff, not installing it (admin rights).
    • Kid-school account: unlimited screen time, no Microsoft Store purchasing capabilities (not even free stuff). Any application that is required to be blocked can only be blocked after been used for the first time and reported on the "family"
dashboard. That is a pretty easy way to do it.

Same for web sites containing inline games. After been used for the first time, they can be added to the list of blocked sites.

Having to wait for an application or website to be visited for the first time to be able to add it to the list is not proactive. Any smart ideas on that regard would be appreciated.

Has Edge any embedded functionality we could leverage ?

    Thank you !

Edge message "Time's Up" even though he has unlimited screen time - son unable to log in

In Microsoft Family account the allowed screen time for my son is set to Unlimited, but every time he logs on to Edge, it accepts his login, then "Time's Up!" flashes on the screen. We have rebooted the computer. I have reset his account for today to 10
hours, refreshed the page, logged out, re-set it to 'unlimited' time--all the easy fixes, and nothing works. This has been going on for a few hours.

    Any suggestions?
