Windows 10: Broken HRD support on AMD Catalyst drivers since version 21.4.1

Hello all! As title suggest, I am having an issue with HDR output on my TV since 21-4-1 version came out. Bsa In short words, windows HD colour cant be turned on. Thing is, previous driver version 21.3.2, 21.3.1, etc.. are working just fine. Also, as soon i try to enable 10 bit output on my TV, it reverts to 8 bit (SDR) output mode. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, even with DDU app, and it still wont work. Any suggestions what should I try? This issue is making me mad, to be perfecly honest with you here. Graphics card is AMD RX 5700 XT and TV is Sony Bravia OLED A8G.

AMD catalyst is a third party software, it will be best if you reach out to your PC manufacturer regarding the installation of such. AMD catalyst is a device driver and utility software package for Advanced Micro Device graphic cards and APU's.

AMD Radeon Mobility 5xxx and Windows 10 just NOT working with me !


Well, let's make sure you downloaded the correct Catalyst version. As I said before, this is DIFFERENT for mobile and for desktop AMD graphics cards. So, go to AMD's site, select Drivers+Support, Drivers+Download Center. Then go to the Manually select your driver section. Since you have a notebook, the correct choices are Step 1: Notebook graphics, Step 2: Radeon HD series, Step 3: Mobility Raden HD 5xxx series, Step 4: Windows 10 64-bit. Now go to Step 5: Display results. Download version 15.7.1 and try installing it. If you get a black screen, connect your TV and go to Device Manager. See what the monitor is. Try changing it to Generic PnP monitor. Also try switching the monitors by pressing the key combination (in some notebooks it is FN+F5, yours may vary) and see if you can get a picture at the notebook monitor. As a last resort load Catalyst Control Center and check the monitor section. You may also need to install a utility to activate key combinations, see notebook's site.

Greetings:

On 11.14.15 windows 10 updated itself. This scheduled process installed many 'new and improved' features. All works well.

The latest AMD driver, which installed, does not have a functioning Catalyst control center which worked prior to 11.14.15.

I have reinstalled the AMD 15.7.1 driver but had no success in obtaining a working Catalyst control center program.

When installing the AMD driver it calls for installing Catalyst, shows it installing, says its finished, but does not have a starting icon or can be found in a search.
