Windows 10: Issues with KB5005565

We recently rolled out KB5005565 to our user base, and it is consistently causing application issues. The issues vary but they range from trying to at mention someone in Outlook causes Outlook to hang, to opening certain Excel files causing Excel to hang. Some non-microsoft applications are impacted too such as Adobe. The issues are consistently reproducible when the patch is installed, and the issues are consistently resolved as soon as we uninstall the patch. Posting here to see if anyone has had similar issues with this security update. Thanks in advance for any information.

Possible printer issue with KB5005565

Today I installed KB5005565 through WU on my desktop. Successfully installed.

Tonight my wife can't print from her laptop to the printer connected to my desktop. This has been working for years.
Printers work, can transfer files from laptop to desktop and back. All network setting unchanged.
I suspect the update I did today is the problem.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Looking at "Uninstall Updates" in WU there is for today:

• Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5005565)
• Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.1220

Looking at System Restore, there are 3 restore points to go back to, all dated today:

• Windows Modules Installer at 12:23
• Windows Modules Installer at 12:22
• update at 12:21

What's the best way to roll back?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Edited to avoid misunderstandings - Because there were contradictory posts in this thread about the applicability of this CU to Version 21H2, I checked that KB5005565 CU was listed in my WU results before proceeding.
Because I was already on 21H2, and because there were contradictory posts in this thread about the applicability of this CU to Version 21H2, I checked that KB5005565 CU was listed in my WU results before proceeding.

I can therefore confirm both that KB5005565 CU is intended for Version 21H2 and that it installs correctly.
And there is at least one other thread confirming that it installs correctly.
