    Need darker screen text. I have followed the W10 Cleartype path, but text is still not...


    When I'm using email, or other communication facilities such as WhatsApp, the text is difficult to read, in that it is 'greyish' I've tried a bold font voila! but that's a bit over the top. Can one adjust the darkness of a font or choose a font that might be more suitable? Big headings come across as black.I have been through the Windows 10 calibration procedure.My thanks for some good help.Peter

    Hi!

    My name is German, and I am here to help you.

    Please follow the steps below and check if the issue can be fixed.

    How to Make Text Easier to Read using ClearType in Windows 10

    To get to the ClearType take an entry to the Control Panel and select the Display option.

    On the right pane of the Display window click on Adjust ClearType Text link.

    A ClearType Text Tuner window will appear on your screen. Select the checkbox Turn on ClearType and click Next button to go to the next step

    After turning on the ClearType Text Tuner, you will see five windows exhibiting the samples of the text that you wish to set.

    So click Next on the following five sample windows by selecting your required text type.

    On the appearance of last window click Finish after completing the tuning of the text for your monitor.

    How to make text darker on windows 10 screen?

    Hi,

    If you are referring to ClearType, you can choose the darker text available when prompted. We also suggest to adjust the Brightness/Contrast of your flat panel. If you wish to have darker text, you can turn up the contrast.
