Hey guys,I have a Lenovo Legion PC with a GeForce GTX 1660 super, and an intel i5-10400. I do not know what triggers it, but my pc will randomly start crashing sometimes, usually with a DPC_ WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I've tried updating my drivers, but still receive this problem. This is what the event viewer saysDescription: The Dolby DAX API Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 times. 2. Recent File List

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed

    Recent/frequent files in start bar

When I reght-click the buttons in my start bar (either the smaller ones which I have pinned to the taskbar or the larger ones relative to currently active programs) I get large submenus listing my frquent and recent files opened with that app.

I do not wish this to happen and, with my old Windows 10 PC I had managed to deactivate this function.

I am currently unable to do so, and I'm having this problem with three separate systems, all recently installed or re-installed Windows 10.

Please note that I have toggled off the "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar" option in
    Settings. It doesn't help.

Rather, if I toggle it on and off again, the recent/frequent items lists get wiped, but they immediately start making new lists as soon as I open a new file.

    Please help. Thank you.

Restore recent folders to quick access, including list of 4 recent

    Welcome to TenForums @wolf145

You don't say where you found these threads, but we have some tutorials here on TenForums on that subject which probably cover the steps you took.

Turn On or Off Recent Items and Frequent Places in Windows 10
Reset and Clear Recent Items and Frequent Places in Windows 10

Note that the second one on 'how to clear the lists' basically says turn it off then on again. I'm afraid your lists may well have been cleared by now. The frequent places in your quick access will rebuild its list as you use the PC, but there's no way to retrieve an old list. You'll have to recreate it by revisiting those places I'm afraid.

If you have been relying on these quick access links as your primary way to find places you want, then once you have rebuilt the list you can right-click on the important ones and choose 'Pin to Quick access' to make them permanent.
