Windows 10: Searching Index was turned off. Index Service missing.

Good day!I have no idea why but my "Searching Index was turned off". When I try entering advanced settings, it says index is not running. I am not able to click anything else other than Advanced. In advanced, I also cannot press nothing other than rebuild index. I have tried clicking it several times but there are no changes at all.I tried checking services.msc, Windows indexing service was missing. I tried running the troubleshooter but it didn't work.I also have tried rebooting the system and even deleting tried deleting the .regtrans-ms and .blf files in C:\Windows\System32\config\TxR I hav

Search Indexing was Turned Off

When searching on Start Menu, it says Search Indexing was Turned Off. When I click on Turn On Indexing, I get Indexing is not running. There's no option to start indexing, and troubleshoot search and indexing doesn't turn it on.





Please let me know what steps I can take to troubleshoot and resolve, and I will follow steps and post results of steps.

• Did you make any changes on your settings prior to this issue?

Windows 10 Windows Search / Indexing Stops Completing

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type Services.msc In the search box.
• Select Windows Search
• Restart the services and set the service as Automatic

If the issue persist try performing Rebuilding Index again.

To rebuild the index follow the steps below:

• Open the Control Panel from the Start menu.
• Open Indexing Options in the Control Panel.
  
• Select the Advanced button in the Indexing Options window.
• Select Rebuild in the Troubleshooting section of the Advanced Options window.
• Select OK when it asks if you’re sure you want to re-build the search index.
